ADHD Diagnosis 1 week ago................?

I am 35 years old & had a life changing moment last week talking with the psychiatrist. Went over every psych test they have & I fit ADHD 100% back to elementary school through now 30's. I have been being treated for anxiety with no relief 15 years.

Doctor started me on 35 mg of Vyvanse. Felt the best I have felt since I can remember for 4 days & then it started wearing off, I got anxious & tired. Yesterday & today I have took the full dose of 70 mg & I get a horrible headache and got on edge and VERY irritable and fidgety & feel hot around 4 pm. take medicine @ 7 am.

I came home last night and took 2 mg of Xanax and 1 Ambien and still couldn't go to sleep until 1 am. I felt better as far as the anxiousness & the irritability but I woke up today in a total fog & in a horrible mood. I took the Vyvanse again this morning. Today, same symptoms around 4 & I took 1 Xanax today & 1/2 ambien when I got home & 30 mins later calm, not irritable, still not sleeping. What's up?

For over 30 years doctors misdiagnosed me, put me on every drug available and surely messed up what wasn't with the side effects of the many drugs. One day i stopped and said no more. I started looking at nutrition and began looking for the answers that I couldn't see when I was medicated. I have been off all drugs over 3 years (i was up to 14 pills a day and steriod shots to breathe, now I breathe fine, sleep like a baby, the answer for me was several things, one I had to let go of the past and realise that I only have now and need to change to make the best of what I have. I had to take resposibility for now and no rely on the doctors for my health and I had to find great nutrition to put back into my boddy what was stolen from abuse, poor nutirional habits and drugs, prescribed by doctors. I would definitely call or make another appointment and go over this with the doctor that prescribed the new meds for you... Definitely do that. Feel better soon.

Do you drink soda pop allot ? Do you consume alcohol every day.?
Have you tested for food allergies ? Most common are anything made with white flour, or white rice or sweets.
There are other food allergies as well like dairy products or eggs.
I would look into these areas. Find a holistic or natural doctor and get off the man made drugs. I think you will see some real results.
