Bipolar and ADHD? |
my mom has bipolar, not that she would admit it. now i am having the same mood swings that she does. i dont want to be testedfor bipolar and i dont want to ask her about it. and even if i did have it i wouldnt takee medication. and people have always asked me if i have adhd, and to tell the truth i do have symptoms of both these. but i dont know what to say about it, and i dont want to be on meds, but i dont want to get hurt. i am just looking for some advice on the matter. should i get tested or anything or what? Go google depression and you will find some great web sites that will answer many of your questions. You need to read up on depression because it runs in the family and sometimes over time it will get worse. But knowing about it and the warning signs are you will be one step ahead. Hi Juliet Lowe, sorry to hear about the problems you are having. Having ADHD-like symptoms does not necessarily mean that you have ADHD. As a matter of fact, its quite difficult to diagnose ADHD because there are many disorders which can come together to mimic ADHD. Since you dislike meds, then maybe you would like to try non-meds approach by using ADHD vitamins or ADHD diet. You can read it up here => okay, you won't necissarily hae to be puton meds...jus take it day by day. I did, and now i'm goin places. I'm heading off to college next year, i'm controlling my mood swings, and i'm thinking in reverse. Like when i think everything is goin really bad, i think, hey, things are gunna get better! I control my mood swings, and now i'm off my meds...have faith...you can get through this. in adhd you do not have mood swings it is probably bipolar it can be inherited if taking meds will help you take em the benefit's out weighs the risk smoke lots of weed |
