Which ADHD medicine would be best for me?

Currently I'm on Paxil (20mg/day) for anti-anxiety / depression. I started taking Concerta and It is making my anxiety bad. I notice my heart being faster and harder, my vocal cords feel tight, and I sob for no reason. Will this go away eventually or should I try and new medicine? Which ADHD medicine would work best for someone with anxiety like me (not Strattera because it interferes with Paxil)? Thanks :)

Jed, from the symptoms as described, I think it would be wise to discuss this with your doc.

None. It's always inappropriate. You might want help with anxiety but ADHD is a myth caused by unrealistic educational expectations resulting from schooling. I home educate in a large group of families and take consultations as a herbalist, and of the countless individuals diagnosed as having ADHD i have seen in both capacities, i wouldn't say even one of them has a medical problem of any kind. It's either vastly overdiagnosed or the result of schooling.

With anxiety, you probably need something to potentiate the activity of GABA and an adaptogen such as Astragalus membranaceus or Eleutherococcus senticosus.

Usually depression meds take 2 weeks or longer for the full effect to take place. I was on meds for depression and I was taking Adderall XR(extended realese). That worked pretty well for me, but u just have to experiment and find the one or combonation that works best for u, because everybody has a different body chemistry. Good Luck!
