ADHD Diet? |
Is this legitimate? Has anyone had success with it? Several clinical trials have shown that "a few foods diet" or "elimination diet" can be effective in ADHD. The citations are below. If you are referring to ADHD diet as in controlling what can or cannot go into the mouth using normal foodstuff, then the answer is - YES. There have been numerous success stories using ADHD diet to treat ADHD. One site which has a good write-up on ADHD (and also ADHD vitamins) is: an ADHD diet should NOT consist of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). HFCS is high in sugar. A lot of these ADD, ADHD, Autism type problems are associated with too much sugar, HFCS is the leading sugar that causes these mind problems. Loose the sugar and carbs. Go exercise every day and I think most of the symptoms will go away. Drink lots of good processed water also. |
