What are some major symptoms of ADD/ADHD?

Things that make me think I might have it;
1. I always forget what I am doing consistantly. I can be in the middle of telling a story and then forget what I was just saying
2. I lose things on a consistant basis.
3. I have trouble reading books that i enjoy let alone textbooks. I can't read for 3 minutes without my mind drifting somewhere else.

Does this sound like add or adhd? Are there more obvious symptoms that i should be looking for to tell my doctor about?

Davey, since BP and Amanda have already given you real-life examples of what ADD-ADHD symptoms are like, I won't want to add to the list. However, if you are curious to know whether you have ADHD and you are an adult, then you might want to try this quick screener. It's designed by adhd experts and its only 6 questions long: You can get it here:

OMGG yes it does sound like ADD. deffinatly.
I have ADD, these were my exact symptoms, with a few more + less::
i cant read anything i dont enjoy,
i am very clumsy,
bad coordination (if that even has anything to do with it)
horrible handwriting
cant concentrate expecially at school with MATH
when i'm on the computer or reading for a long time, the words just start to blur, like theres a wall between me and the book and i just can't focus.

of course, everyone has slightly different symptoms but i believe you should deffinatly go to the doc's and test for it.
i am on a medication called "Concerta", it helps alot.
good luck!!!!

ADD= Attention Deficit Disorder
ADHD= Attention Deficit w/ Hyperactivity Disorder

Sounds Like ADD. Hard to concentrate, keep organized, poor time management.

A doctor will have you fill out a questionnaire and ask about your symptoms to determine if you have ADD or something else.
