How do I calm down my hyper adhd boyfriend?

ive been with this guy for a really long time but hes really hyper and has adhd. i think its fun most of the time and i dont have a problem with it at all. but when he gets REALLY hyper he wants me to calm him down. how can i do this? ive asked him before when he was calm and he said he didnt know. i like him a lot and i would never consider breaking up with him. he is great to me. he just wants to be calmer sometimes. and he is on meds and they do work. just sometimes he gets really hyper. has any1 dated someone like this before? and how did you calm them down?

I have been studying ADHD and this information will help you. I am an adult with ADHD and use these for myself.

1. Diet
When he gets really hyper, what did he do before he was hyper? Drink soda? Drink Milk? Eat chocolate? Something with sugar?

You will see a direct relation between what he eats and how he acts. keep some type of journal and you will see exactly what I am talking about.

Things he should avoid. Dairy, gluten, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients and such. So basicly, avoid processed foods, coolaid, soda, snacks, and on and on.

Get him to eat fresh foods. meats, vegetables, nuts, fruits, and these kinds of things. nothing frozen, bagged, boxed, or canned.

This should help him from escalating to hyperactivity.

2. Nutrient deficiencies
there may be some nutrient deficiencies like vitamin b's, minerals like calcium and magnesium, and some others.

If he is not getting these, it also could make him hyperactive. a liquid vitamin and mineral supplement is the best to use.

This should really help.

I would love to hear from you about your journaling of his diet and how he acts after and what you discover.

Feel free to contact me.
