I was wondering if ADHD could affect...?

..the way people, i dont know, express their feelings and/or emotions?

my boyfriend has a slight case of ADHD, or atleast he did, im not sure if he still has it. but anyways, he has a really hard time expressing his feelings... for example, sometimes i still wonder if he likes me.. he doesnt really talk to me, he'll make an attempt to be with me, but when i try to start a conversation, he just doesnt respond. or he shortens things.
i dont really get it. its just unusual, like even for a shy guy, extremely unusual.
is it possible that the fact that he has ADHD have anything to do with this?

First, he either does and always will have ADHD or doesn't. It doesn't go away, he can manage the symptoms via a variety of ways but you would know how he is doing that.

It sounds like he is just a guy and the ADHD isn't getting in the way here. ADHD tend to not look into themselves too much as they are trying to make sense of everything on the outside. A lot of ADHD adults tend to not be shy at all which is why I don't think it is getting in the way.

There are a lot of more feasible reasons why people don't express their feelings.

No. I am not a Dr. but I have a lot of work experience and I also suffer from ADD. Medication has taken me from a depressed puddle of a semi-human disaster, to a successful, happier and more creative human. That has increased my self esteem, which has given me more confidence socially. More than likely, there is something else going on like past trauma that makes him feel like he has to keep withing himself. It's sad, and you might want to give it time, but I guarentee that in the long run you will be extremely unhappy if you stay with him. Take care.

ADHD is an attention Disorder, He probably likes you in a way that he doest want to express his feelings for you.

Most the time ADHD Means they cant focus or stay still.
