Adhd huge proble,?

ok so i am 14 in high school grades r a 2.5 but i have been looking at stuff on the internet about how to tell if you have adhd and most of them apply. i have always thought i did but i never said anything to my mom cuz she wouldnt buy it. today for finals i tried some adderall to help concentrate and i was amazed like a miricale i am wondering how to ttell me my mom to consider it , not nesisarly wanting pills but they help maraculously or just something to help concentrate

You can have your doctor check to see if you are adhd. I mean talk to your teacher first and see if she will talk to your Mom. Never should you take someone Else's medication it could have a reverse effect on you or be too strong for you and you could be in some serious physical danger when you do that. Talk to your teacher or guidance counselor that is what they are there for and then maybe they can talk to your Mom. If the school thinks that you have adhd then your Mom has to have you tested for it. Good luck!!

OK, first ... you should never take someone else's medication. But you knew that.

You might want to tell your mom that you've been doing some research on ADHD and that, from what you've been reading, you're pretty sure you have an attentional disorder. Tell her that you have trouble concentrating in school (and at other times, if that's true) and that you'd like to have an evaluation done.

If she doesn't "buy it" (as you say), PLEASE talk to a school guidance counselor. In fact, perhaps you should do that FIRST (?) because the counselor may have suggestions for how you can bring the subject up to your mom.

In order to be evaluated for (and possibly diagnosed with) ADHD or other attentional disorders, you'll need to start with your doctor (pediatrician).

If you do in fact have ADHD, the medications can work VERY well, if you take the right medication at the right dosage.

Please talk to a counselor, your mom, or your doctor as soon as you can. ADHD isn't something you outgrow (although some people who have it do eventually learn to manage it well enough). If medication and/or behavioral therapy can help you focus better and perform better at school, you have everything to gain by having it treated ... and the sooner, the better.

Best of Luck.
