I think I have ADD/ADHD, Help? |
I believe I suffer from the ADD/ADHD disorder. Im constantly uncomftorable when Im sat down, and distractions by little things always catch my attention. I squirm and I find it hard to concentrate. My parents dont believe I have it but I need help for it fast. Please any suggestions on what I should do. You may have to approach this logically from all angles with both your parents or grandparents (they care for you too). First thing you will need is to be very educated on what the diagnosis is, treatment and medications. Chances are that one of your parents has this too. That may or may not be the one to start with. Drew, I agree with Amanda. Is there any adult (uncles, aunties, cousins, neighbours etc) whom you trust and whose views commands some respect from your parents? Grab hold of that person and ask him/her to talk to your parents. In any case, you might want to look up on the symptoms of adhd again just kind of verify that you have adhd. Go to another adult who you trust and ask for help, such as a school counselor, or call your doctor and ask for advice. |
