Does the Government monitor parents spending on SSI money for ADHD child?

My brother lives in WISCONSIN and he and his fine wife recently have recently $700 a month for SSI regarding their ADHD 8 yr old son. My bro told me they use the money to make their house payment. Is this illegal since they should be using it for their son and it is technically HIS money for his disability? Is seems to be improper use of Government money.

The government don't care what the parents spend the money on as long as they depend on the government and vote democrat.

Why are you so upset about this? Shelter for a child is one of the first things DHS looks into. And DHS has to approve this or SSI doesn't make the payments. You sound like you're jealous about the money they get. Believe me, $700 a month for a child with ADHD is little compared to their doctor bills, medicine and schooling. So they make their house payment? It really shouldn't worry you, unless, as I said, you're jealous?!?!?

1. It is not HIS money. It is for his parents to provide for his needs. Shelter is one of those needs.

2. No, the government does not monitor parent spending.

I would think that providing a home for their son IS using it "for him". Money is for support, not an allowance for toys. Nothing improper at all.

Having a home is a part of his care.
