Can a differential diagnosis be made between ADHD and Autism?

It's troublesome that I fit the criteria for both of these disorders but one is normally chemical and the other structural as far as I know. How is anyone supposed to know what I actually have from questionaires? It's difficult for them since I am also highly intelligent and slightly prescient at times for unknown reasons. I can't really explain how I know certain things, but I am definitely a non-linear thinker. It's just frustrating that the English language cannot properly express some of my experiences despite having a large vocabulary. What am I supposed to tell them, that I observe patterns around me and somehow calculate how certain things are going to happen? I don't know how to assist these people in helping me function better...

It is common to fit more than one category, most people do, in fact 3 or 4. It is also common to see ADHD and Autism "go together"..also OCD. What that means is that both are treated. Working with a therapist will help. Both can improve.

I'm not sure exactly what your difficulties are functioning.
My suggestion is to know yourself and trust yourself. Be a good person by being good to yourself and others.
Do not rely on labels to define who you are. The medical industry creates labels for financial purposes. Always keep in mind those words are not who you are. They are only created to qualify medical insurance permissions.
One thing that came to my mind was reading I saw about indigo children. Research it on the web. It is a much kinder interpretaion of characteristics of people with these type qualities.
So I encourage you to continue to express yourself and honor the gifts you have been trusted with.

I don't know you but from your description, I would doubt you have autism. Perhaps Asperger's Syndrome. Any of the autism spectrum disorders will include features of ADHD, so ADHD is probably moot anyway.

I have heard allot of confusion about this and this is my theory: If you feel empathy for others (actual distress at their pain, or joy for their good fortune) it's not autism.
