Do you have a ADHD child?

Don't you hate it, when you go to a doctor to diagnose your child problem behaviour, you get people saying your son does not got ADHD, when the doctor says different. Well I got something for all the people out there that think this, YOU TAKE MY SON AND SEE IF YOU STILL THINK THIS WAY. My son has ADHD, but his twin sister does not. The thing is if a child is been diagnose, it most likely that one of the parent had it as a child. For us my husband has it, he's father has it and so on through the generations. Back in my husband days they call it hypoactive disorder and in My husband father day they call it problem children. What people think, is that my son is out of control and I am a bad parent, this bring me to tears just thinking of it, as if I am to blame. some people say it take disaplin
and control. WRONG, with ADHD children it take all your energy for one child, so much it cause you to think of the unthinkable to stop what is going on. If you think this then wake up to yourself.

You are 100% right. People do not realize that ADHD is an actual real mental disorder. There has been scientific case studies showing that the brain works differently than a "normal" brain. The electrons and neurons work at an actual faster pace and they come to the same conclusion in a problem a different way than the average person. They see things extremely abstract and they are bright as hell!

Just ignore other people's ignorance of the human brain, they do not know what they are talking about and are just talking out of their butts. You are not a bad parent, you are just the parent of a very creative, intelligant child that needs a little more guidance because he is so smart.

adhd is not a mental disorder!! it might get better Report Abuse

adhd just makes your emotions go wild and there is no problem with that!! and omg shut up about the normal brain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Report Abuse

ADHD is the number one diagnosis in children. It is usually made after a 15 minute evaluation by a family physician. Often, there are underlying problems which mimic ADHD and it is misdiagnosed. If I had a child who was suspected of being ADHD, I would DEMAND full psychological counseling. Read up on the Dallas, Texas school system and find out how they handle ADHD, it's a refreshing, comprehensive approach.

There is no such thing as ADHD.

no but i an retarted

No, I do not

i dont really know what your question is

Hi!

I am a teacher so I can talk from that perspective. Some of the administrators tell me about particular children that have been diagnosed ADHD. I don't care whether or not they have been correctly or incorrectly diagnosed but I do care if a parent gives up on their child. It sounds like you love your child so listen to this advise. When I report to a parent that their child cannot focus in my class or blurts out answers after reminders to raise their hand and wait (signs of ADHD but not proof of it) , I expect that the parents will work with me and take whatever action necessary for the future success of the child. I look for a child to learn a sense of control over themselves in a group setting. If this sense of self control is not evident and a match to a norm for the age of the class, then the child must get individual attention, often more than the classroom teacher can provide, to address what is causing the behavior. If that means a special learning situation or a medication or some other situation recommonded by professionals who are in a position to do so, then that is what must be done for the sake of the child. Best of luck to you and your child!
