Has anyone here with ADHD ever taken Prozac?

I have been diagnosed with ADHD, depression, and anxiety. Even though I was diagnosed with ADHD by a previous care provider, a psychiatrist I saw recently told me she wasn't entirely convinced that I have ADHD, because I seemed too "focused" when I was talking to her. However, she did believe that I have depression and anxiety, so she prescribed me Prozac. Since I've started taking Prozac, my problems with inattention seem to have all but disappeared and I'm now able to focus much better. I'm also beginning to wonder if I was misdiagnosed with ADHD. However, I know that some people who are diagnosed with ADHD also take Prozac to curb their impulsivity and restlessness. Has anyone here with ADHD ever taken Prozac? If so, what were the results?

Yes I have ADHD and I take prozac. It help me out a lot. I can focus more and it does great for me.

Strattera and Prozac are very similar medications I would say more useful for ADD then ADHD, ADD and ADHD have 6 different subtypes and each are treated a bit differently.

if your problem is related to focus Prozac is effective, focus issues can be caused by various conditions, situation depression, anxiety, and attentional deficit.

Its possible that you were misdiagnosed by the previous dude. That is why when anyone wants to get tested for adhd, make sure to see a doc who is well trained in adhd.

I take Paxil, i didn't know Prozac works for ADHD. Paxil works great for me!!鈾?/div>
