My step-son is on adderall XR for his ADHD- he was on Concerta before this- past 3 weeks he has developed tics |
snorting and making a low muffle noise with his voice- continues allllll day long- yesterday he started with a new thing- he has been yelling out- first it was the word "Chip" then it was a vulgar word (the name of a male rooster)- You need to immediatey contact his physican/ psychologist and report the tics. Adderall XR may not be the right medication for him (my son has ADHD). There is another ADHD medication (Vyvanse) and the Doctor may wish to switch him, but either way you NEED to report this to the Doctor. I just saw a special on this on TV. Two twin boys suffering from ADHD and didn't respond well to perscribed drugs. A new study has shown that a vitamin suppliment called "Theanine" helped. Its also found in tea. It has a calming affect and no bad side affects. Do some study's on "Theanine" and consider taking your son of drugs all together with. I am on Aderall xr and I've been on alot of meds for adhd, including concertta. my brother is currently on concertta. the weird thing is he has a habbit of cracking his fingers constantly. |
