Why doesn't Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere, get as much aid & attention as Africa??

They need our help as much as countries in Africa, Asia, and many other countries do. With the protest of food prices going on they need our help even more. Here is a link for more info-

Most of the attention paid to Africa is because of the very high AIDS rate.

Probably because they have received help so many times before with little or no self help. Haiti has so many problems because fo Haiti. Why doesn't the Dominican Republic have as many problems as Haiti?

Africa has natural resources to steal, haiti has chicken feet.
