How much can my parents make in a year and still receive FAFSA aid for my college?

How much can my parents make in a year and still receive FAFSA aid for my college?

anyone can get "Fafsa aid" in the form of loans regardless of parents income. That being said the free stuff (grants) is the more desirable type and I'm assuming you are talking about that. This number is different for every person, because it obviously would cost more to feed and house a family of 6 than it would a family of 3 so no one would really be able to answer this question for you.

When you fill out the fafsa, it will give you an EFC number, if this number is over around 4000 you will not likely get the Pell grant, but you may get other types of fin aid.

It depends on the college you are looking at. The FAFSA generates an EFC, expected family contribution; that is, an estimate of how much your family will be able to pay without significant difficulty.
How much FAFSA aid you will be granted is the EFC subtracted from your college's tuition. If your college costs a lot, chances are you may get some institutional financial aid. If not, you can still take out student loans or apply for scholarships.
