Obviously the CD4+ cell (which has many CD4+ receptors) is the main target, but HIV can infect other cells with the CD4+ receptor (eg. regulatory T-cells, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells). All of these play a role (some larger, some miniscule) in the process of HIV infection.
