AIDS/STDs?

how did AIDS begin, i heard multiple stories:
(1) from gay people?
(2) a guy had sex with a monkey?

if #1 is true, is AIDS/STDs more in common in gay people?
who is it more in common in (subgroups like race, gender, etc...?

HIV most likely originated in wild chimpanzees in the southeastern rain forests of Cameroon Africa. Transference from ape to human most likely occurred when a human was bitten by an ape or was cut while butchering one, and the human became infected.

It was more prevalent in the gay community at first because gays from America would go to Haiti to vacation and often had sexual relations, bringing AIDS back to America. AIDS is easily spread through anal sex and from man to man rather than woman to man. But now AIDS is pretty equal in all sexuality types.

aids was a genetic mutation passed from primates to humans, years ago aids was considered a gay disease, now it's pretty well equal opportunity, though homosexuals and african americans appear to have higher rates of it in their groups

it is not from gay people or from having sex with monkeys.
scientists believe that it was first transmitted to humans by being bitten by chimpanzees infected with an extremely similar virus, or that blood from butchering the chimps for food caused the first infections.

HIV infection is more common in men who have sex with men, that is not the same as homosexual. it's a behavior that makes infection more common. it is also more common in african americans because of many cultural and socioeconomic factors.
