Do you think there is a cure for AIDS and they aren't releasing it to the masses?

Yes they have known how to get rid of it since the 80's, they found at that time that you can have dialysis and the blood gets heated and kills the virus, but the cost is too high for the common people, and insurance companies can't make money from it, $10,000 + just for a single treatment, probably much higher today, and kidney treatment is justified and warrant's insurance companies to pay, which most dialysis is covered by medicaid and medicare, not by private insurance... My wife worked in the infectious disease field and they knew about it then in the state of Ohio, but due to greed, (because all the dialysis companies are privately or corporately owned) it's not cost effective, just like the other things about AID's and HIV that they have kept secret in order to maintain pannick levels..a huge protest was brought about at the time and was diverted because of political and corporate interest groups. at the time the census was who really cared if an IV drug user, or gay, or poor person died from it, it's a way to reduce the population , just like many other issues, it's all about the money, the rich want to be richer and be in control, if it wasn't for greed it would have never been, had they not taken the forrests of South America and South Africa to clear the land for some financial gain, it would have stayed contained there, and they tried for a long time to say it was started and spread exclusively in the gay community, it was actually found in a species of monkey that was pushed out of it's habitat when the tree's were removed, and it was introduced to humans, that's one reason the people in South Africa are dying in masses

I'm always amazed when this question gets asked. What benefit would the "governments" have for not releasing a cure, if they had one? The amount of money spent for AIDS related problems is enormous, and there really isn't much profit generated by the sale of the drugs to help it. As much as we would like there to be a cure, there just isn't one. HIV is a virus, which means it's hard to kill inside the human body. Complicate that with the fact that it affects the immune system, which is what you would normally work with to help the body- and you have one hard to cure situation. We can't really "cure" any virus out there, which is why people still get colds. Shoot, people still get warts- caused by another virus, called HPV, and we can't cure that group either. No, there's no cure for AIDS, so there's nothing to release or not release.

i think a cure for HIV is definetly in the way, since they can identify the antibodies that are formed by the body as a reaction to the HIV. did you know that's the way an HIV + female can give birth to a HIV - baby because of passive immunity (when the antibodies for HIV are transferred to the fetus, so the fetus fights off the virus during the pregnancy)

It has been 17 years since Magic Johnson told everyone he has aids and looks really really healthy, you would never imagine he has aids. Pretty sure doctors have found some type of medical advances for this disease. Doctors have managed to prolong HIV pacients with better medical care and now the average life expectancy for an HIV pacient is 2 decades. Now instead of HIV being a death sentence to many it is now a chronic disease and many can live a normal healthy life, or may have some of that good magic johnson blood.

In the first place the "government " is not in the business of medical research. When the gorernment gets involved in anything they are not supposed to be involved in, it only makes it worse.

Since private companies do medical research, as well as some universities, these medicines and cures you talk about must have a potential to provide a profit that in turn makes it feasable for them to pursue more medicines, and cures.

Just learn how the free market works and you will see for yourself what is the real hindrance to finding cures.

Probably I mean The goverment keeps us in the dark with just about everything else I don't see why a possible AIDS cure would be different. Apparently they think ignorance is bliss, I personally don't think living my life dumbfounded in a stupid cubical typing up reports about god knows what and getting flicked in the back of the head by some loser with a mullet sounds like the good life though... I wouldn't be surprised there is a cure for AID's, Cancer, herpes, and all other sorts of illnesses and diseases. But you have to consider these facts. There is so much money being put into "research" for allot of these types of things, why would anyone want to lose funding and millions of dollars to help people? Don't you know by know there are allot of evil people in the world only looking out for themselves. Money talks!

there is a cure for everything
its just the government and the bloody underfunding of the nhs
that keeps people from getting cured
(other health servises included(not just the nhs))

Yes I also beleive there is a cure for cancer but the risks are still to great to risk it.
