How did AIDS/HIV Start?

Obvously we know that HIV is a sexually transmited disease. But it must have started somewhere. I mean how did the first person get it. Sorry if i sound ignorant or stupid its just something ive never heard discused.

HIV evolved from other retroviruses called Simian Immunodeficiency Viruses (SIV), which commonly infect different types of primates. Like monkeys and other apes, humans are a species of primate. The HIV viruses are types of SIV that infect mainly humans.

There are three main types of HIV-1, which cause most human HIV infections. These evolved from particular strains of SIV that affect chimpanzees (and possibly gorillas in the case of one strain).

The first person to get each strain of HIV would have got it from a chimp or other non-human primate. HIV spreads fairly easily blood to blood, and this is thought to be the most likely way it got from animal to human.

Perhaps it was a hunting accident, but no one knows for sure.

All I know is that that monkeys in Africa can carry it and live with it and some African tribes are actually eating monkeys and have been doing so for many, many years and in my personal opinion I believe thats how it got started, if they are eating AIDS infected monkeys it stands to reason that they will become infected. Maybe not, I'm just saying.
