I am a little worried;my deoderant was shared with someone, if that person has hiv/aids, am i at risk?

the deodorant was just wet.

I don't think you will get infected this way.
But its highly careless behavior on your friend's part. HIV/AIDS is one of the biggest problems around. We should try to be away from it and help others who are prone to it - like the poor people. United Nations has launched a campaign to combat HIV/AIDS and thereby to end poverty by 2015. It also has a community http://www.orkut.co.in/Community.aspx?cm... . Please make others aware of HIV/AIDS also.

Oh god, yes. Deodorant transmission is one of the most common forms of catching HIV. Instead of the massive advertising campaign in the 80's about using condoms, they really should have done a 'Don't die of ignorance, don't share your deodorant' campaign instead!

You see all the little HIV bugs naturally gravitate towards your armpit as it is nice and warm there. If the infected person used your deodorant, all the little virus creatures would have clung to it and when you applied it shortly after, they all jumped straight on to you and are currently making a bee line for your central nervous and lymphatic systems, infecting you almost immediately!

And contrary to popular scientific belief, the HIV virus can live outside the human body for several years.

Did this person also use te same toilet seat and cutlery as you? If so, you are pretty much screwed.......

They only way you can get HIV from deodorant is if you had cuts on your arm pit, and they can cuts on their arm pit, and the HIV lived that long...which is normally doesn't.

And arwen...you're wrong a thousand times over...

There are no HIV bugs, there is no migration of HIV bugs, and the HIV virus can not live outside the human body for more than a few seconds....which is why HIV is not transmitted by mosquitos....

Get tested, know the facts, relax....

No, you are not at risk, as long as there was no blood passed between the two of you with each having open, bleeding underarm skin sores. But, please, in the future, consider your deodorant like your toothbrush, and DO NOT SHARE personal items of hygiene to avoid sharing other "bugs."

Reported fake question.

Maybe.
