If you have HIV or AIDS do you know who or what you got it from?

Since HIV is sexually and blood transmissions it is who, not what. It would depends of the number of partners and contacts a person has had. IF the number of partners is low, I would think it would be easy to figure out who infected a person, IF they knew the person. If it is just a number of meaningless contacts I would have to say you will never know as how can you get in touch with somebody you don't know??

Another way to narrow it down would be the partner(s) that a person had unprotected sex with or who needles were shared with.

HIV is transmitted through blood,semen, vaginal fluid and breast milk.

Some people figure they know a person so protection is not necessary, but there are thousands of people out there that have been infected with HIV and don't even know it. And very realistically it only takes one time of unprotected sex to become infected.
