I am 19 years old female and i am terrified i have aids?

well about 2 months ago i had protected sex with a guy i have been dating in college. He gave me oral sex also. A couple weeks later someone was talking bout how he have hiv or some type of disease. This scared the mess out of me because i know you can get hiv from oral sex. I haven't had any hiv symptoms but that still doesn't mean i don't have it. I confronted him about it and he swear he didn't have it. i am still concerned. I am scared to get tested can someone please give a advice. I'm desperate.

The best thing to do is go to a health department that no one knows who you are. Trust me; I work in the medical field and even if they aren't suppose to talk about things like this they do. When you go just tell them you want to be tested for all STDs and HIV/AIDS. It is not that uncommon at all in this day and age that people get tested often. DO IT MONDAY. The quicker you do it the better you will feel. You are gonna worry yourself sick not knowing. Just bite the bullet and go. I think you are going to be fine though;if it was me I would want to be tested ASAP. Okay....you are going to call a health department at a neighboring county that you don't know many people and tell them you need to be tested just for a routine check for STD's and HIV/AID's.....right....promise? okay I heard you say you promisised LOL!!!!!!! IT will be fine. Monday morning first thing-call.

well first it is okay to be scared. second YOu are more afraid of the unknown. It is way better to know and get treatment than to not know and doing nothing and also you might not have the infection at all. You won't know unless you get tested. Don't forget that there is a three month window period during which you could test negative for the infection.

Your body doesn't start to produce antibodies against HIV until about 6 months after infection. You can't know for sure until about four more months.

You should really go to either a free clinic or your primary care physician for further advice. Don't take the word of random strangers on the internet.

you relly should go to a dr. if for no reason than to make you feel beter by knowing.

go to a nearby planned parenthood and you can get tested for free!

i was scared to get tested my first time as well. The whole time i wated for the results i sat there and cried, tryin to figure out how i would tell my family i had hiv, then i got a negative and never felt so happy in my life, i could breath again! i know u dont want to know but if u did have it, finding out sooner will give u a much better chance of living. it something u just have to face, or it will not go away. go to a clinic that offer the 20min test to u dont have to stress over the results for a week. Good luck and get tested for your own sanity. and even if he did hiv your chances are very slim. the lady at the clinic told me that just because someone has hiv, another person will not automaticlly get it.
