If you are dying of cancer or AIDS should you keep quiet about it or tell people such as in job interviews or? |
when you meet people? if someone is dying of aids or cancer they wont be looking for a job. but i would make sure all my family and friends know and i would get as much in order while im still alive as possible It depends on a lot of things for instance. As soon as you contract aids, you are dying of it but may have 20 years left to go or you may be well into the process and be slowly nearing your end. cancer is different, it can be treated and cured/remitted but if you are dying from it then i presume a person has had it for a while so they will be in no state to look for work. In jobs you have to tell them of both. of the instance of aids, If you have an accident a work and cut yourself, then you are puttting people at risk of infection if they are assisting you or even just clearing up blood as they do not know.as with both diseases you will need time off to go for treatment so somebody has to know where you are and whats happening. I presume only management would know though and they would deal with it accordingly if they were any good. as with outside people/friends. its up to you. its your life. tell people you feel comfortable with and who you can talk to about it if you so wish. weird question . i can't imagine anyone wanting to commit to a job position while those poor people are trying to deal with a terminal disease ! Personally I would not say aything just because of people whom take it for the worst.. But then again, if something serious happens to you while you are at work, you can get in a lot of trouble for not telling them Depends how you are dealing with it if it was cancer i would let everyone know, my mother died of it in 1995and i was there when she passed. i know i havent got aids and never will Only when necessary. Like in a job interview when they ask if you have any health issues then say. But if you meet someone new don't just blurt it out, say when necessary. surely people with HIV or maybe chronic leukemia are still able to work and would expect to be alive for many more years keep quiet. Very quiet about it. Trust me on this one. Never tell that to a job interviewer because you won't get hired. |
