What would be the proper way to ask your date to get AIDS tested? |
I've been tossing ideas around in my head but can't figure out the best way to go about asking her to get checked. Women are extremely sensitive and cry every time I say something so I better get help on this one... Wow I'm getting so many good answers that I don't know what one to pick... :-) "I'm getting myself checked for AIDS today hon, wanna come with me?" Then when you're there, act like you're scared and rant on how you'd feel better if you guys go through it together. Well assuming you been dating for a little time, and they you have not had sex or have and used protection, just approach it with "I like you alot, if feel we are getting a little more serious, and would like to take it to the next level, would you be willing for the two of us to get AIDS/STD testing together?" Don't make it just her thing, included yourself to. If your not too serious she might question you, but as long as your approach it as something for the two of you to do together it should be fine. Wow that would be awkward to suddenly ask her to be tested. You should lead up to it, start telling her about couples not knowing that their partners have cheated and then got AIDS. Just tell her stories and info about it before you ask her. Personally, I wouldn't be offended but you also have to be tested too or else I would think that was unfair. Maybe you shouldn't ask but kind of imply....for instance...tell you do routine tests for yourself prior and following your relationships for the safety of yourself and your partner. maybe ask her if she'd like to join you one day? Its a touchy subject no matter what. either way she wont like it ask about her past then just go for it dont just say "you need to get tested" say somethin like "i want to be able to trust you %100 but i dont know about your past so could you do somethin really special for me and get tested, i will go with you and will stick by you the whole way" Tell her your college friend is doing a survey on how open couples are to getting AIDS test & sharing results with their partner. Tell her you want to prove that you have a solid relationship and you know your partner would volunteer. If necessary, pay for the test for her and later share your results with her. Well, maybe ask about her partners first or something. Two of my ex's were virgins so I didn't even bother with that stuff. But I guess you never know if she's being honest or not so if you're really concerned just explain to her that you don't have anything against her, and you just want to be safe. Its always a good idea to get tested. If I were you I'd schedule an appointment to get tested yourself. In the meantime mention all the positives for getting tested and than casually ask her to come along. why dont you ask her directly, youre concern about boths health...but surely she will ask when was youre last check ?.as well....is fair for her to know as well... everyone has aids... aids aids aids. |
