What would your comfort level be around someone who had contracted HIV/AIDS? |
On my term paper, I'm including a survey on people's opinions on those infected with HIV and AIDS; if you found out that someone you knew became infected with AIDS, how would your comfort level around them change on a scale from 1-10? 1 being that it doesn't bother you at all, and 10 being that you couldn't stand to be around them.. thank you for your help! It would be someone that you just come in casual contact with, not someone you're planning on sleeping with. 1 - it doesn't and wouldn't bother me at all......other than feeling badly for them that they became infected. Why would it affect my comfort level around them? It doesn't change the person they were before they were diagnosed. I think that's when our true colours show!.....when we can befriend and love and show support to all human beings. Someday that person needing acceptance might be us! My comfort level would be an absolute, unquestionable 1. 3 or 4 I'd be a little uncomfortable, I'm sure everyone would I mean after all it is a contagious disease and very deadly, not to mention you would be next to someone who is slowly dying, but you can't contract the virus from just touching the person, you'd have to exchange bodily fluids so it's okay to be around them. ZERO! my comfort level with someone who is HIV/Aids positive would be a 10. theres honestly nothing to be scared of it not like you going to do anything stupid with thiem to become HIV positive. the only way HIV is spread is sharing of needles with someone who is HIV positive having S..E..X with someone who is HIV positive just doing something stupid you can hug kiss shar food with this someone and your fine so its fine It would not bother me provided proper safe guards are taken... always. The problem is people get lazy or tired and make mistakes. Remember, the only way you can get HIV is in some form of intentional or accidental exchange of body fluids. i think around a 2 or a 3 ZERO... is that low enough? I wouldn't have any discomfort level, because I would not have sex with them. Even if I was their partner, I would take the necessary precautions so we could have sex. So your question has no basis at all. I think my comfort level would be more influenced on how they contracted it. I wouldn't be afraid of catching it but I am not comfortable around homosexuals and drug addicts. If they don't belong to those two groups I would be fine. Zero!.. AIDS is one of the deadliest deseases and if the person has open wounds or even their sweat can be spead to othes.. I have been around a few pepople before and I felt just fine SO 1 If any thing I was curious on what meds or healthy things they r doing to stay positive and keep healthy ZERO!!!!!!! 1 I don't care who it is, if you got AIDS I'm out. Have a nice life. 6 No brainer. T E N well what is the comfort level of BEING someone who has aids? HMMM...?! well if it was someone I would consider "doing", maybe a 5 lol it would be a 10, cuz i'd be afraid if they got cut, or started bleeding. Honestly I don't know......I always thought it was okay till I met someone and questioned my beliefs...... |
