Can I get AIDS from stepping on glass? |
I accidentally stepped on some broken glass, but I don't know if there was any blood on it. It cut my foot a little. Can I get AIDS? Dont worry about it, am sure you're fine. its only if say it cut someone who has it, but then again If the glass was contaminated with blood and still fresh (i.e. not dry) and you step on it and you got a bleeding cut which mean the fresh blood mixed with your blood...then you MAY get infected. however from all statistics and shows and learning centers, the chances might be minimal. in order to be assured, check yourself and see a doctor for a medical advise. 4 ways you can transmit HIV/AIDS: If your foot came in contact with another person blood which was on the bottle up to 20 min. earlier then yes that could be possible but very unlikely. |
