Tarrant County College Financial Aid Department....?

I have always been the first to fill my fasfa out and send it in. I always get "audited" and send that information out as well. My boyfriend and coworker also did theirs 4 days after mine. Why have they gotten their aid and i have not? They were also audited and the school informed them on it (email) and the school never informed me (or sent an email) about it. The only reason i knew is because i call them all the time because they never sent letters of additional paper work last year and the same is happening now. Last year they gave me a huge run around and the same bs. I know the lady who works in this department and she does not like me. Also, i know the school decides how much money i get which brings me to my next point. My boyfriend, who makes about 11k more than i do and his mother made more than my parent, got 2600 for aid and i only got 500? They also could never tell me why he got all his paid for plus more!!! Who can i talk to about this? Are the messing with me? What do you think is going on?

There are a number of factors, one could be that he is taking more hours than you. Another could be he only has one parent, and another could be parent credit history. There are numerous reasons that go into the Family contribution.

Make sure talk to your financial aid office and make them give you the maximum that you can receive. The person in charge at times can change what you actually receive. Stay on them or nothing will change.
