Financial Aid Question (I need to get my books)?

On my school account, it shows how much I am recieving for loans and grants. Now, I recieved the grant because it show it was subtracted from the total cost. but it doesnt show my loans being subtracted from my total amount. I accepted it and did the online entrance interview/counseling too...Anyways i was wondering if the loan amount will be disbursed to my account because i need to get my books and a cover the rest of the amount. Will I able to get my books? and will I get my loan before class start( today is wednesday and class start monday). im worried about gettin dropped from my classes if i dont get the rest of the amount. if this isnt clear just let me know and i will email you.

If your loan money is being sent directly to you, you will have to wait till you get it. In most cases you won't be dropped from your classes, they may just put a hold on your account. Call the financial aid department and tell them what is going on, they should be very understanding.

Sometimes aid isn't applied until classes start or sometimes even after! If you're truly worried call your financial aid department and confirm that you are getting the loans and that you are either a.) eligible for a book advance (if your school offers one) or b.) will be getting a disbursement. Do you have your school's financial aid guide? Is there one posted online? Most schools have them and they're very handy in navigating situations like this.
