Financial aid???????

When I look at a college tuition it shows the price at 30 thousand something, and then it'll show a financial aid package available for just slightly less. Does that mean that if I apply for financial aid, they'll pay that huge amount and I'll only have to be a couple thousand?

O.k. here is the scoop. When you see a financial aid package that shows most of the tuition being paid for it is made up of different forms of payment. Some grants and some loans. The grants you do not have to pay back and the loans you do.

Unfortunately, most of the package will be loans in this instance.

The way for you to find out how much of which your package will be, is to fill out the fafsa. When you do this I recommend putting down a couple of school codes from schools that interest you that way when you get financial aid packets from each school you can choose which one you want to accept.

Most finanical aid needs to be paid back. You will pay that 30K a year times 4 years back.... eventually.

If you don't have 120K, you might consider a cheaper school.
