Symptoms of hiv/aids? |
i researched on the net that there are about 10 symptoms of hiv that are recognizable without like going to the doctors or anything, but i only have like 1 or 2 of them, could that still mean i'm infected or do i have to have all symptoms? does any one know how long it takes for the doctor to find out if you're infected after being tested? i should probably add, 2 weeks ago i did get a throat infection and then it went away and now it came back 2 days ago, and also i don't know if the person i had unprotected sex with was infected and it has been 3 months since so it would show up on a blood test now? The first symptoms of HIV infection can resemble symptoms of common cold or flu viruses. The symptoms of early infection can also be similar to the symptoms of other sexually transmitted diseases and other infections such as "mono" or hepatitis, which are much more commonly and more easily transmitted. Stress and anxiety can also produce symptoms in some people, even though they do not have HIV. I would want to go to a doctor if I was you if you had sexual intercourse with another person who has done it with someone else. Or if you have. Do you know if someone you done it with had it?? You can have HIV and not have AIDS. i believe you need to be tested 3 times within a period of 6 months in order to confirm that you do or do not have hiv. the first and possibly the 2nd test can be false negatives so that third test is needed. After exposure to the virus, you get a test. Then 6 months later you get another to see if you might be infected. i believe it can take 3-6 months for the virus to take full effect. You should definitely see a doctor if your showing ANY signs of HIV or AIDS... |
