Made a mistake on an already processed fafsa, i made the change, does this hurt my chances on financial aid? |
I made a mistake on my family income and taxes paid. I made a change to a 'processed' fafsa. But because i have recently made the change, and the deadline to submit the fafsa to colleges was march 2. Does this hurt my chances to get financial aid from the colleges I have applied too? Or is it okay because it was already processed before mar. 2???? FAFSA processes your application by the first date you submitted it. As long as you submitted it the first time by the early deadline you're fine. They actually suggest you submit estimated numbers JUST so you get it in by deadline. No worries! If they've already assigned your aid though, they may adjust the amounts assigned to loans or grants due to the changes. No it doesn't. You can also call the Fafsa people. |
