I was just prescribed an anti-depressant and sleeping aid?

The anit-depressant is called Wellbutrin and the sleeping aid is called Trazodone which is also used for OCD, panic disorder and ADD/ADHD. I am 17 and 160 lbs and suffer from anxiety and depression. From an "expert" who has experimented/been prescribed with these medications, how bad might the side effects be?

Wellbutrin is likely to seriously increase your anxiety. If it doesn't ease up after a week or two, talk to your doctor and try something else. Wellbutrin is generally never prescribed to someone with an anxiety disorder.
Aside from anxiety, insomnia and changes in appetite (for good or bad) are common. Wellbutrin is notorious for causing serious, hardcore sweating (and was the reason I personally discontinued it after 8 months).

You really should not have any problems with these medications they are fairly safe go well together. If you do experience anything they could just lower the dosage unless you have an allergic reaction which will usually show up about a week after starting dosage. I have been on both of these meds.

You might either get even more depressed from the anit-depressants but one of the worst side affects you could expect it addiction. it's really hard to stay away from them once you've started. be careful. it would have been better if you had taken therapy instead.
