How long does it take for Tylenol PM Sleeping Aid pills to take effect?

Do sleeping pills ever get to the point where it's hard to stay awake? If so,how long does that take? And if not, how long until it hits the peak of it's effect?

The effect should occur within one hour, the peak being at about 45 minutes. If you don't even attempt to lie down and sleep, you won't get to the point where it's hard to stay awake.

However, if you take more than the normal dose you may find it difficult to remain awake. How long that takes depends on your dose. I had a neighbor that attempted suicide by taking almost a whole bottle. She did not die, but she slept nonstop for a few days. (Btw, don't try that. She was so knocked out that she pooped on her bed and lost like twenty pounds) Source(s): Personal experience
for me, about 30 mins. If I stay up for an hour and a half after I start feeling tired, then it wears off and I'm back to where I started.
If your looking for it to put you to sleep, the full efect should have taken efect within 45 min, if you take as directed.
Peace! ((((HOST SOLOMON))))
Tylenol PM is not sleeping pills. You probably won't feel so tired you can't stay awake. It's meant to help you relax so you can fall asleep.
