You can apply for aid for summer. You will want to talk to your financial aid officer to see if the summer semester/quarter is considered a "header" or "trailer" for the aid year (at most schools it will be a trailer).

If your school is a trailer school, then you will be unable to get federal financial aid for this summer now since the deadline for completing the FAFSA was June 30, 2007 for the 0607 school year. If your school has summer as a header, then you need to complete the FAFSA for the 0708 school year.

Again, though, talk to your financial aid officer so you can get the best information for your situation.
