and i have some left, can i buy a laptop (i will need it for my classes) or a cheap car to transport myself to the campus? or what to do with it?
If you have money left over, your school will mail you a check for the left over amount and you can do with it whatever you want. Once you cash it they don't know what you're buying with it. Technically it's supposed to go for something school related, which really could be anything. You could make anything seem school related, especially a laptop or a car. But really, it doesn't matter what you spend it on. You can use it for whatever you'd like. It sounds like raising money for a car may be the most useful since it's going to be your source of transportation to school but also using the money to help pay for textbooks is a really good investment because book prices are insanely high (I know I work at the University Bookstore). I say get a job and use to financial aid money to get the best of both worlds. :)
