Had enough of "live-aid" type concerts or .........?

should there be more of the same type of events ?

do celebrities do enough [of these events] to promote good causes ?

Someone suggested if we nuke all the third world countries, we'd solve three problems.
1. It'd fix the problem.
2. It'd help reduce our already grossly overpopulated planet.

Let me tell you what, I hate Bono from U2. Him and his "let me save the world" attitude. I think if he wants to do something that is great, but don't stop producing decent music to go "save" the world from whatever the h3ll it is this month that is causing distress. Why don't you start by doing something about the country that made you so popular you arrogant pompous b@#tard. We have starving people here. We need things here. Or go to your home country and help there. Lets bring the focus back a lil. Lets pull the reigns a little bono and say "hey, dude, If i have to hear another freaking concert that tries to mimic a hippie jam band concert that accomplishes nothing more than wasting peoples time; I swear to god i will punch you right in the nuts Bono."

bono is the reason i hate political musicians and celebrities. When an artist starts to get political i refuse to listen because music is amazing until you start to sacrifice the integrity of your music to insert your political agenda into it. John Mayer is one, The most recent is Rufus Wainwright. Why? I don't even know why. But i bet it is freaking Bono's fault...

I dont think there is enough of them....i watched the live earth one the other week and it was great, if they can get peoples attention for a good cause then thats great. Plus music concerts etc are more likely to grab the younger generations attention and these are the ones that will make a difference.
