Anyone using Alli the diet aid that is now on the market for sale? |
If so are you loosing weight? I was also in search of the ingredients in this produuct and could not find them. I have lost 4 pouds so far, I must admit by taking the pills I am sticking with the plan to a tee but I honestly want to know if all this hype is just a Placebo(Sugar Pill) any thoughts from you all about this? Thank you so very much! In randomized placebo-controlled studies patients taking orlistat (generic name for alli) had 2.2 kg (~5 lbs) more weight loss than patients taking a placebo and following the same diet and exercise regimen over 12 weeks. Source(s): Pharmacist i don't use it but one of the side affects make you poop in your pants sometimes and people call it alli-oops! I haven't used it but to me it's just a marketing scheme to make money (placebo effect). The way Alli works is by keeping fat from being absorbed by the body. But then on the other hand Alli says to "diet and exercise" and not eat greasy foods while on the pill as you will get loose stools. When you put it all together, it basically says take their pill, eat a clean diet that is ALREADY low in fat and exercise. This plan without any pill will help people lose weight. People who believe that by blocking the fat from being absorbed must be taking in unhealthy amounts of fat already and need to re-evaluate their lifestyle. Fat is not the enemy in weight loss....calories are. |
