Indian nations sovreign, when they get so much govt aid-- welfare from tax payers? |
if they truly wish to be oh so independant they should print up their own money and try to spend it.if they want to take care of their own then they should stop taking handouts from uncle sam. its only been 200 hundred yrs. now, why do we still owe them anything? It's easier to allow obsolete assistance programs to continue on then it is to bring them to an end. Why think like that, maybe we should get all the people in the USA that receive government aid and send them to Africa, Mexico, China and we could gave Israel & North Kora that money. God I bet you never worked a day in you loser life. Think of it as the rent we pay to live in *their* country. Hi LazyWolf....I'm rather shocked in hearing that you disapprove on our governments aid, that assists our American Indian Nations. What have they done to you? Our American Indian Nations is a part of our American History and our culture. They are a symbol and icon to our country as I see it. Why are you so against them? Our government in the past years, had done the American Indian Nations wrong by the treaties they had promised, land and jobs. We do owe them something! They were the first occupants here to reside in our great country and our government and people took it all away! What gives you the right to be so negative against these beautiful people? What about the illegal aliens that come to our country everyday? They eventually get assistance from our government, do they deserve it? What about those individuals that "use the system' to get paid but are able to work, do they deserve it? This is my point. Why does one organization or group of individuals deserve the aid from our government and another group doesn't? If anyone in our great country deserves assistance from our government, it's certainly the American Indian Nations. Why don't you go visit one of the reservations and see for yourself. They are proud people and their cultures should be respected and the ideal that they were here first! Have a great day! If a friend of yours killed your wife, took your house, destroyed any possibility of you getting a good job, and let you live in a tent in the backyard...would he "owe" you the luxury of a hot meal every now and then? from your question I take it you are a racist and uninformed about treaty rights, and life on the reservation! Treaties were ratified by congress then broken, we are the land lords and have not yet begun to collect the rent. |
