Can I get Financial Aid for College if...........?


I owe the IRS money? I made payment arrangements with them, but owe them a little over $3k

Yes, you can. You have an arrangment with them, so you will be covered by that.

I don't think that IRS debt can affect your financial aid. THe only thing I think that could would be an disciplinary action taken by the US Department of Education, which is totally separate from the IRS.
Only if you can prove, with actual papers from the IRS, saying you worked out some type of payment schedule.
