Is anyone sending aid to the people who have been flooded out in the UK?

Britian seems to send aid to other countries - which I always support and don't begrudge - but now some of its people really need help. It would be good if other countries would help us in our times of need.

are you kidding, if this is how the goverment works then god help us if there was a war over hear, it seams to me that no one knows what to do, its help yourself, because no one el.s will, im english and proud of it, but iv got to say this country as gone to the dogs.

will spend the next couple of days packing, then will be heading north and arriving on Tuesday. Will bring a load of sunshine up to warm Britain up and help the drying out process.

We have plenty to spare here.
we don't need anything. We have enough water, food etc for everyone, its just more of a logistical problem getting it to everyone, n o other countries can help with that.

People should accept personal responsibility when it comes home insurance, government should deal with public places and buildings.
I was thinking this the other day, strange how one of the first things we do when there are problems in other countries is offer support and set up donation lines etc (ie. hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami) but all the other countries in the world couldnt give a toss if half this country is under water!
