Financial aid for college? |
I have a sister in-law that just got accepted to a college she wants to go to but tuition will be 22,000 a year and her mother and father already have her brother enrolled in college and can't afford to send another one to college. What should she do? Did your sister-in-law fill out FAFSA earlier this year? If so, then her college's financial aid can give her a summary of what's available to her. If not, then I'm assuming her parents were going to pay for her entire tuition. Well I'm sure tuition is due soon. I suggest telling her to find the website for her school's financial aid office and see what they offer as in outside loans. I know there's a student loan she can get from Citi. If that fails, I'm guessing her parents should take out a loan (assuming they have good credit, etc.) for this year and pay for her tuition and give her some extra money for emergency. Then she'd have to find a job to pay for all the other expenses that come with going to college. Then by March '08, she should fill out the FAFSA form. They'll give her grants if she qualifies along with student loans. Tell her good luck. Source(s): college graduate sounds stupid but keep applying for loans, it was how i bought my first house, i got turned down a womping 34 times for a house loan, do to my crap credit, and that 35th bank said "Ok" and its ight...but other ways is apply for grants, possibly a job with benifits, some jobs help out with schooling..just a few ideas Maybe you can try below website to get the information you need.
