Any Place to get FREE HEARING AIDS?


Hi all! I have a very sweet next door neighbor that is very low income and has no savings. She has just been told she needs hearing aids for both her ears.

DOES anyone know where she may beable to get them FREE?? OR any orginizations that help the low income with this?

I can't believe we can give to other countries, and do without in our own.

Many places in the US have a social service resource line that provides you with a list of programs for the elderly and low income individuals. Here in Milwaukee you just dial 211 and you get a list. Go to www.211.org and find the one for your state. They should be able to see if there is a program in your state that can help her out!
Medicaid should cover hearing aids.

Lions Clubs have hearing and vision as their primary service project. Contact your local Lions Club and they may be able to get her a set.

There's also an organization called HEAR NOW that provides hearing aids to people who can't get them any other way.
