Aid Appeals?

When disasters happen outside the U.K, appeals go out immediately for donations to help. Has the same thing happened (appeals for help from other Countries) to help OUR flood victims, or are the Citizens of the U.K. the only ones that are expected to Dig Deep into our pockets to alleviate problems?

I`ve been thinking this also, I only ever give to charities that help in the UK . Charity does begin at home and us Brits need to start remembering that.
Hi Looby charity should begin at home and we are always the first to give to others in need
We should be the recipients of appeals from other countries.

After all, we are on the way to being a third world country!
In a word, yes other countries help. I'm a member of Lions International (we help the 'helpless') and whenever there's a disaster in this country they immediately send aid to the affected area whether it be money or supplies. The same happens if there is a disaster elsewhere - the central Lions fund (in USA) sends aid immediately. Lions all over the world raise money and donate to the fund to send help quickly when there is a disaster.

It isn't just up to UK citizens to fund disasters. Worldwide people help where they can.
