Why do old people have band-aids on their arms?

I know why old people have band aids on their arms. Alot of the time it is because they are on certain types of medications that make their skin really easy to tear and their blood thins alot so when they get a cut it just peels the skin and bleeds alot. I even have a story to tell. I was working at Bob Evans as a hostess and this old lady hit her arm on a sharp point on the door. Well her arm was just covered in blood and the skin was just peeled back like tissue paper. I had to get alcohol for her to clean it and bandages, they didnt sue or anything. But i was mad because my boss didn't even say "good job". It was really gross though.
They probably just got a blood test. Or it's medication that they take that looks like a bandage but isn't. It's one you wear on your skin.

It may be from having blood taken out of their arm at the hospital lab. Maybe they have a sore or scab on their arm.
My grand mother had dialysis 3 times a week as well as many others, so that one reason why. Most older generation folks donate blood to the red cross, and they have more visits to the hospitals and doctor offices than us younger people. Insulin shots.
