Chiquita Banana paid protection money to Columbian terrorists Should they be prosecuted for aiding terrorists? |
The law prohibits payments to this terror organization. But should different rules apply to Muslim as compared to non Muslim terror groups? 2 more facts: The US Dept of Justice knew. Chertoff was friends with Chiquita's president. this happened months ago. i agree they should be disolved as a company and treated the same as any other person or country. they paid a 25 million dollar fine, thats it... personally i think this goes to show that the " war on terror" has become an invalid war. a war designed to create ultimate powers for those in power. if our prez. was serious on this war why was the largest producer of bananas and fortune 500 company allowed to use terrorist for profit????? nah, it was a cost of doing business...besides those people weren't plotting to fly planes into our buildings, get some perspective... p.s. i like their bananas on my cereal...lol No, the terrorist should be prosecuted! It sounds like extortion by the terrorist, so you punish them not the victims. Colombian terrorists don't want to destroy the West. The FARC and ELN are more concerned with money, power and recognition from the Colombian Govt which the have. I dont understand why the Central Govt deals with these groups through pay offs and corruption. They should be crushed. I dont have an answer to your question but Im glad you presented it. If youve been to Colombia, then you know that anything that travels through or originates from the red zones is subject to whatever rules the FARC decides is fair. Colombia is a wonderful country full of wonderful people for the most part. Lucky enough to have married a Colombiana. ;-) |
