Why did the U.S. deny most of the aid offered from other countries after hurricane Katrina? |
Selfless or stubborn. Or disorganized? Your opinion please. Not only that, but they denied using the plan created by the Louisiana State University, which had everything covered. Instead they said only the IEM, or Innovative Emergency Management corporation, could plan and deal with the situation and even politicians threatened to prosecute and ban the professor who was head of the LSU studies if he exposed that his plan was denied. By the way, the IEM didn't have a plan but did give donations to the Republican party. Whatever is going on is pretty dirty. Oh boy, yes aid was offered by other countries. Tons of it. We didn't require foreign aid to deal with the problem. probably disorganized....I don't believe the problem is with resources for the disaster....it was a matter of local government not performing under pressure.... Cuz KBR needs to rebuild there after all those unwashed finally leave the city or croak--you have a problem??!! 1. Malice against black Americans. 2. Maybe they objected that the money wouldn't go directly to Halliburton. It would have made Bush look like an even bigger idiot had he allowed it, given how badly his administration botched it. |
