My cousin wants to do acupuncture on my new baby but I'm not happy about it.?

She say's it's natural and it won't hurt, in fact it will make the baby live for longer.

Don't let anybody except a qualified doctor or nurse go sticking needles into your new baby - acupuncture is an alternative therapy and not universallly accepted. It is not natural to go putting needles into newborns unless the doctor or nurse sanctions it - tell your cousin to back off! Acupuncture will not prolong your child's life - unless done in extremely sterile conditions it could shorten it!!!

Are you crazy?

Don't let her touch your little baby.

Acupuncture by a professional is one thing, but I know that they don't use it to prolong life. Letting someone poke needles in a helpless tot is abuse.

xx
PS
You have got to be a troll, no mother in her right mind would even contemplate that.

if u arent happy say no sorry leave my baby alone thanks for asking

tel her to do one! wtf he is your baby and your his mother what you say goes! if she wants to do that tell her to do it on her own kids! i wouldnt let her no way!

Rubbish!! Its a tiny new born baby, leave it alone - the baby can't give its consent. Its almost child abuse to stick it with needles. Its your baby, tell her to get stuffed.

Just remind her that YOU'RE the mother, and that it is ultimately your decision. If it's not something your comfortable with, just tell her that you appreciate the offer, but it's something you'd rather not do.

Say Hell no, get your baby and run!

I would say No It is your child not hers you do what you think is best not what will make her happy. Talk to your pediatrician about it if you do consider it. I do not think it is a good Idea and if I were you I would not let her.

It's your baby. Why even bother to question yourself about it? You get the final say.

wtf nooooooo thats child abuse!

If you're not happy just say no thank you!

NO WAY. Does she have a license to do it? Honestly, I would report her to the authorities. That is child abuse and illegal.

ur the mother so ur cousin has no right to persuade u in2 doing anything of the sort!!
IF u r concerned abt ur baby's health, consult ur gp!!!!!

It's your baby. Tell your cousin thanks but no thanks, you're just not comfortable with it.

if its natural then wunt we all be born wi pins sticking out of us?
who knows if it may make the baby live longer but if it aint right for babys or if i goes wrong who knows what the conciquenses may be.
DEFFINANTLY ask you doctor about it first!! i know for sure that i wouldnt want anyone sticking pins in my baby grandaughter. no way!!!

If you're not happy, then decline your cousin's offer. You don't have to allow it simply because she's your cousin.

You know what will make the baby live longer???
Not letting crazy women stick needles in it!

Why are you even asking this question? You're the mom, not her.

Tell your cousin that your baby is not an experimental subject for her crazy ideas.
I certainly would not let her baby sit either.

It is your child, you have the right to say no - no need to explain your reasons to anyone.

Who cares what your cousin thinks? Acupuncture has been proven to cure ailments, but it has yet to be proven to extend one's life. If your baby has no ailments, why would you let anyone stick needles in it? Personally, I think your cousin is a ditz! Breastfeeding is natural, pooping is natural, growing teeth is natural. Humans do not naturally sprout steel needles!

As a medical professional, I am open minded about all healing types, including acupuncture. Is your cousin a Chinese master, or even a student of a Chinese master of acupuncture? Or is your cousin an entheusiastic student itching to try out her new skill?

You should tell your cousin that even though you love her and respect her profession, you will not let anyone perform unwarranted medical experiments on your baby. If she cannot respect you for your decision, do not leave her alone with your baby!

I think you are wise not allowing this to happen - why not looking at a non evasive form of allowing the childs 'chi' to unblock - this can be done by the light pressure of the index finger on the Chi energy spots, the same points which in accupuncture use needles, is completely unavasive and will have similar effects as acupuncture, and also help bond you and the baby..

Remember: Its YOUR baby!!! If you are not happy with it then say no.

i honestly wouldnt do it to my baby. i wouldnt do it to myself either lol
tell ur cousin that you are not sure at the moment and if u change ur mind u will let her know. that should calm her down but it wont cause tensions between u 2. its not nice to argue. but keep ur baby safe
ur a good mum
xx

Smack your cousin upside the head with a loud "fool what you thinkin". No one does baby acupuncture. That's ridiculous and could cause diseases. It's your baby, say NO!

your have to take your duties... I mean you are the mom, you now what is the best for your baby, don麓t let anybody touch your baby, even when they said is not gonnay hurt your baby, I麓m just going crazy when I take my baby to the doctor and she pinch his little finger even when i know is sometingh good for him but I never gonna let anybody touch him, He is mine and but now I can decide what is the best for him so you.....

Take your place as mom and do it for him.... your baby is to little and delicate why tried this weird stuffs on him?.... doesn麓t make sense......

Tell her absolutely not!

Dont go ahead with it if your not comfortable with the idea. Also that sounds like a very odd claim! If your into that kind of thing it may feel natural but I wouldnt wanna do it on a new baby.

if it'll make the baby live longer then you should totally do it!! i mean it makes sense right?

Noooooooooooooooooooooo

Whattttt??????

Why would you let anyone, relative or not, stick needles in your baby?

Is the baby sick? Is she a qualified accupuncturist?

Tell her if she tries, you'll have her arrested!
