Hi People! Do you really think Acupuncture will help my condition of Bloating, Tiredness and Depression?

After going to 3 GP's, taking tablets that didnt work and having a hospital test (camera up my behind test) that came back as 'normal' I still am suffering from really bad bloating of my stomach which makes me feel so drained and crappy, stomach pains and always tired for the past year, I also have suffered from depression for the past 3 years too, so I decided to try the Chinese treatment. Initially they gave me the herbal tea to try, I tried this for a week and when I went back they told me I was having a slow reaction to the herbal tea and recommended still taking the tea for a few weeks but also to start Acupuncture straight away as this was the best way to treat my condition as it would be a faster method to see results. I agreed to go ahead, but can't help but be still abit sceptical.
Please can anyone tell me their experiences of having Acupuncture for treatment of bloating and depression???
Many thanks

Hi there. Hope you're feeling better. Acupuncture and herbals do work, however they work differently with each person. So, not having remarkable results after only a week is okay and normal since you've been feeling under the weather for how long? You will feel much better, you should be getting treated twice a week with acupuncture and taking the herbals as prescribed. This medicine helped me in ways western meds couldn't. Stick with it, it's not a over night cure.

Not likely to help.
Acupuncture has only limited efficacy for pain relief, but no demonstrated effect for any of the conditions mentioned.

Acupuncture is amazing!

Everyone is different, some people are more sensitive to it than others, but it still works. I had very good results from it, for depression and tiredness. I felt very bad for the first twelve hours after the treatment, tired, chilled and discouraged, but after that I felt better than I had in years, and have remained so.

Make sure your practitioner is certified, and check around to make sure he/she is reputable and properly trained.

Please try ear stapling. It is based on acupressure, acupuncture and Auriculotherapy. I have been researching this method online for some time and recently became a ear stapler. I have noticed several changes to include reduced cravings, stress relief, as well as my stomach problems have decreased. Your problems sounds as if you suffer form I B S
