Can anyone tell me how much is normally charged for acupuncture treatment if your insurance doesnt cover it? Prices vary depending on location and the doctor himself. In NYC area, $45-100 is typical. I have seen as high as $150-300 per session. It depends on where you live. Acupuncture Today magazine did a poll a year or so ago and listed the nationwide average to be around $60 per session. If you live near an acupuncture school, you should check out the school clinic - you will be treated by student interns who are supervised by licensed clinical faculty, and the cost is often significantly lower ($30 seems average). You can check http://www.acaom.org (The Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine) which lists all accredited acupuncture schools in the US. between $65 - $120 |
